It is necessary to guarantee the quality of the food products that reach supermarket shelves. In the case of processed products, their composition must be homogeneous and comply with the specifications indicated on the label. In the case of fresh products, they must be at the appropriate degree of ripeness.
In addition to quality, food safety is essential. This means preventing the appearance of foreign bodies that could lead to the withdrawal of a product, or even entire batches, from the market, with the resulting economic and brand impact.

Advanced sensors
We design customised solutions based on technologies such as advanced vision, which are capable of rapidly and non-destructively obtaining information on the internal, mainly chemical, and external, physical, properties of products. This information is measured simultaneously and in real time throughout the entire production system.
In both bulk and packaged products, we are able to detect product defects using near-infrared spectroscopy, NIRS, measure the degree of ripeness of fruit, the amount of fat or even formulation failures.
Through advanced sensors combined with Artificial Intelligence, we are able to optimise classification, defect identification and distribution control of small-sized foods, such as seeds, grains, legumes, nuts or small-calibre products.
In many cases, a combination of different solutions is required to identify foreign bodies, unwanted substances, cross-contamination or ingredients in poor condition. We have therefore developed a multimodal imaging system that combines different solutions and for which we customise the software according to the specifications of each product.
