TheInnovation Kitchen

Where ideas are transformed into high-impact projects

Need

Rapid technological evolution, new regulatory challenges, and growing expectations from consumers and businesses require AINIA to anticipate change with high-impact innovation solutions. Our ability to transfer effectively to the market requires high-quality in-house R&D that strengthens our portfolio of knowledge assets and ensures a competitive and differentiated service offering.

TheInnovation Kitchen

TheInnovation Kitchen is equipped with technology for hybrid meetings, informal co-creation spaces and an idea presentation area, in an environment designed to inspire. But TheInnovation Kitchen is much more than a room. What really matters is what is cooked inside it: a comprehensive service for driving both in-house and external R&D+i.

Scope

At TheInnovation Kitchen, we co-create R&D and innovation proposals to compete in regional, national and European R&D programme calls together with our partners and collaborators. It is also the place where we systematically monitor the implementation of our in-house R&D projects. We develop innovation workshops and dynamics, reflect on R&D priorities, and co-design new technology-based innovative services or solutions. We also organise hackathons, “ainnova” innovation forums, and other participatory innovation experiences. TheInnovation Kitchen is available to our clients seeking an expert partner to develop their R&D+i management. We support them in their business R&D strategy and planning, tailor-made innovation workshops, ideation and project maturation dynamics for high-impact initiatives, technology tours, mentoring for R&D+i departments, bespoke training, etc.

Impact and benefits

TheInnovation Kitchen has been key to AINIA’s leap forward as a leader in collaborative R&D projects. For example, we have secured 20 EU projects in three years, many of them “cooked” here, and helped drive the PERTE AccelerEAT project with 18 partners and a budget of €36M.
In short, it is the place where the right ingredients, properly prepared, generate innovation with a taste of the future.

Why is it called TheInnovation Kitchen?

Because the kitchen was humanity’s first great technological innovation: the place where we began using technology to improve our lives. At AINIA, we are inspired by that idea to create a space where projects are conceived, mixed, tested… and cooked until they are ready to go out into the world.
