Objective
The overall objective is to generate the knowledge required on the functioning of the colonic microbiota in miniaturised in vitro models, in order to provide technological solutions to companies in the Valencian Community. These solutions will support the design, development and launch of new products that improve health through their interaction with the colonic microbiota, while meeting consumer needs through the incorporation of healthy foods. This is in line with the priorities of the European Green Deal, the Farm to Fork Strategy for a fair, healthy and environmentally friendly food system, and the EU’s climate ambition for 2030 and 2050.
