Promotion of sustainable habitat and construction 4.0

Objective

The objective of this project is to make available to one of the strategic sectors of the Valencian Community, namely sustainable habitat and construction, the full potential of the main Spanish network supporting innovation in SMEs -REDIT-, in order to help it become an innovation benchmark on the national scene.

Activities

The lines of work to be developed during this period by the beneficiaries aim to identify and bring closer to the habitat and construction sector the main technological initiatives and potentialities promoted by the IITT:

Updating of the web platform
Dissemination among sector stakeholders (associations, companies, professionals…) of all the potentialities developed by the IITT
Coordination of the participation of the IITT in joint initiatives that contribute to promoting innovation in the habitat and construction sector
Development of specific projects in the field of habitat and construction, the project developed by AINIA being:

Development of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS)

The objective of the project is to raise awareness of and promote innovative Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in collaboration with Valencian companies in the sustainable habitat and construction 4.0 sectors. To this end, the following activities will be carried out:

Preparation of a Report on the potential of NBS in the sustainable habitat and construction sectors in the Valencian Community. A bibliographic review will be carried out on NBS applicable to the habitat and construction sectors, paying special attention to those of greatest interest to the Valencian Community, and which are supported by new innovative technologies, with a focus on biotechnology, where AINIA has greater expertise and traction capacity. The report will include success stories and key factors for the adoption of NBS in the sector.
Organisation of an NBS Innovation Workshop with 10 companies from the sector. The idea is to generate a sectoral portfolio of NBS of greatest interest to the Valencian Community and, in addition, to help the participating companies identify their own opportunities. During the workshop, the findings of the bibliographic review will be explained and participants will be helped to understand the main challenges that could be solved by NBS in the Valencian Community environment. The workshop will include a brainstorming session and the identification and prioritisation of opportunities.
