Objective
The main objective of the GLOBALSAFEFOOD II project is to create a data infrastructure or data lake capable of bringing together, in an integrated and interrelated way, all internal and external sources of information for agri-food production companies, with the aim of building new digital applications for controlling and managing food safety risk and vulnerability to food fraud.
Activities
- Design and implementation of the food safety data lake
- Development of the system’s advanced algorithms
- Dissemination and communication of the project results
- Transfer of the project results
Activities
Data infrastructure for food safety: the project has enabled the development of an advanced data lake that integrates internal and external information related to food safety, facilitating joint analysis and its use in decision-making processes.
- Risk analysis and food fraud: algorithms and prototypes have been developed to identify microbiological risks, critical control points and potential food fraud based on production and analytical data, as well as public sources.
- Digital management support tools: an application prototype has been implemented that integrates laboratory information and external alerts, helping companies to assess food safety risks in a more structured and anticipatory way.
- Validation and transfer to the sector: the results have been tested in validation environments with companies from the agri-food sector, confirming the practical usefulness of the solutions developed and their potential application in real-world contexts.
