Objective
The overall objective of the project is to research and develop materials and/or finishes that improve their hygienic suitability through nature-inspired solutions (biomimicry). In particular, the aim will be to reduce the adhesion of fatty residues to improve their cleanability.
Activities
- Application of biomimicry to identify replicable models on food contact surfaces
- Selection and preliminary design of solutions
- Development of laboratory-scale prototypes
- Evaluation of hygienic improvement
- Communication and dissemination
- Transfer and promotion of results
- Management and coordination
