Objective
The overall objective of the FOOCOLLECT II project is to develop and validate an autonomous fruit detection and collection system based on photonic technologies, 3D vision and machine vision combined with Artificial Intelligence, integrated into a mobile vehicle with a robotic arm, capable of navigating through the crop and collecting and storing fruit fallen on the ground in the plot, in order to recover the wasted product and provide an economic return to farmers.
Activities
- Robotisation and automatic fruit collection
- Integration, fine-tuning, experimentation and validation of the system in an agricultural context
- Dissemination of the results obtained
- Transfer of the developed technology to companies
- Project coordination and management
