Objective

The main objective of the AQUA2VAL project is the development of innovative solutions in line with current regulations and strategies, while going beyond them, in order to promote a circular and sustainable economy in the strategic industrial sectors of the Valencian region that are water consumers and wastewater producers.
This will help promote climate change adaptation in the Valencian industry and ensure its water resilience by anticipating a sustainable future. In this regard, the project will address topics related to waste management, circular economy, digitalisation, integrated water cycle management, and the use of non-conventional waters, with the aim of driving new scientific and technological developments that position the collaborating companies at the forefront of sector technologies.

 

Activities

  1. Management and coordination.
  2. Development of the digital technology map.
  3. Development of advanced technologies for the removal of microcontaminants, emerging contaminants, and critical contaminants from industrial wastewater.
  4. Recovery of added-value products.
  5. Advanced technologies for the use of non-conventional water.
  6. Validation of results with industries.
  7. Transfer and dissemination.
