The European project DIGESMART formed by companies and research centres from four countries, among them, AINIA starts. They propose a technology to offer a viable solution to the treatment of the residual materials of the biogas production from cattle excrement and other agroindustrial organic remains in farms. The challenge is to recycle the nutrients of waste materials from biogas production, reduce the emissions associated with transporting them for agricultural use and produce fertilizers without fossil fuel consumption.
