Objective
The INNO4CFIs project has a dual objective:
- Promote reforestation practices to increase CO2 absorption while fostering crucial environmental co-benefits such as sustainable freshwater production, the restoration of drylands and soils, and the promotion of biodiversity
- To fund highly innovative technologies promoted by SMEs located in countries eligible for i3 (EU27), through a cascade funding plan that will fund a minimum of 42 companies.
Activities
By combining the WEFE Nexus Methodology and the technological maturity of the technologies involved, the design of systemic solutions that balance the interdependencies between water, energy, food and the environment will be ensured, as well as the implementation and funding of Carbon Farming projects.
