ACE-EX

Agriculture Circular Economy-Expert
13 March, 2023

Objective

The ACE-EX project provides a multidisciplinary profession, the “Expert in applying Circular Economy processes in Agriculture”, and tools to ensure the quality of training, recognition, transferability and exploitation.

Activities

  1. Support the agricultural sector -with special attention to wine, oil and cereals- in the transition towards a circular economy.
  2. Develop an entrepreneurial mindset for the new opportunities ahead for the circular application of the Economy.
  3. Facilitate the transition to “green” chemistry using waste/surpluses from agriculture.
  4. Contribute to sectoral compliance with European Green Deal standards, and facilitate the sustainability of the sector in a challenging business climate.
  5. Train professionals working in the agricultural sector, specifically in the production of oil, wine and maize, in the reuse of waste/surpluses from agricultural production for the production of new business products and/or the innovation of business processes through the development of an innovative and multidisciplinary curriculum.
  6. Provide flexible Open Access training for EQF 4 and 5 certification, virtually accessible to professionals located in at least 9 European countries, ensuring content sustainability, constant updating and scalability to an EQF 6 Master’s degree.
  7. Guarantee procedures for the RPL of professionals and link these agreements with national accreditation authorities.
  8. Certify experts in the application of circular economy processes in agriculture through the development of professional skills that, on the one hand, improve people’s employability and, on the other, are highly beneficial for agricultural companies, particularly wine, oil and cereals, as they provide them with the specific opportunity to apply and benefit from circular economy practices.
