Aquactiva Solutions markets patented membrane electrolysis equipment that generates ultra-pure hypochlorous acid in situ: a highly efficient disinfectant, up to 100 times more effective than hypochlorite, completely harmless, classified as non-hazardous under CLP and REACH, eco-certified and with a very low production cost, as it uses only water and salt.
For the agri-food sector, the main applications are fruit and vegetable washing, nebulisation in cold rooms to extend shelf life, and the cleaning and disinfection of facilities. The most relevant benefits include the elimination of perchlorates, up to a 20-fold reduction in chlorate levels, improved hygiene — eliminating cross-contamination and offering high efficiency against any bacteria, fungi and viruses with record contact times — improved Listeria control, extended food shelf life and up to a 50% reduction in losses, savings of up to 50% in water consumption and cleaning working times, the elimination of up to 100% of chemical disinfectants and detergents, as well as the removal of occupational risks thanks to the use of a harmless product.
We invited the Technical Director of Aquactiva Solutions, Grégoire Gaume, to Network Interviews to learn more about the origins of the company and its activity, as well as its commitment to innovation and the SDGs.
