GENOCARE

Objective

The main scientific and technological objective of GENOCARE is to develop an innovative solution that contributes to the personalisation of pharmacological treatments in polymedicated patients through the integration of phenotypic, pharmacogenetic, metagenomic, pharmacomicrobiomic and biometric information. This information will be integrated into a digital platform available to the medical team, to support a comprehensive view of how specific treatments affect each patient’s health, enabling therapies to be adjusted precisely and personally. To achieve the main objective of the project, the following specific objectives will be developed:

1. Development of a pharmacogenetic analysis process in polymedicated patients based on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology.
2. Analysis of intestinal microbial composition through metagenomics.
3. Pharmacomicrobiomic study of drug-microbiome interaction in an in vitro model of gastrointestinal digestion and colonic fermentation, as well as in an in vivo model.
4. Creation of a platform for the integration and visualisation of pharmacogenetic, metagenomic and drug-microbiome interaction data.

5. Study of microbiota-drug interaction using an in vivo model.
6. Creation of a calculation platform.
7. Integration of data into the platform, development of generative AI for decision-making and validation.
