style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h2>Objective<\/h2>\n<p>The main objective of this project is the research and development of a new anaerobic digestion technology based on new metabolic pathways that promote electromethanisation processes and the DIET metabolic pathway as strategies to increase the transformation of CO2 generated during the hydrolysis and acidogenesis stages of anaerobic digestion into methane, with the dual advantage of increasing total methane production and producing \u201cin situ\u201d, in the same digester, methane with higher purity levels that do not require, or reduce as far as possible, subsequent \u201cupgrading\u201d, thereby reducing investment costs and increasing methane revenues from this type of technology.*<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h2>Activities<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Selection and acquisition of conductive materials to promote the DIET metabolic pathway and electromethanogenesis<\/li>\n<li>Study of the effect of conductive materials on biomethane production, biogas composition and production kinetics through batch biomethanisation tests<\/li>\n<li>Continuous study of DIET anaerobic digestion and electromethanogenesis<\/li>\n<li>Project dissemination<\/li>\n<li>Transfer and promotion of results<\/li>\n<li>Project management and coordination<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
