La l<strong>iberaci\u00f3n dirigida y controlada<\/strong> de este tipo de mol\u00e9culas es un campo que se lleva estudiando desde hace d\u00e9cadas pero tienen ciertas limitaciones que se pueden superar a trav\u00e9s del empleo de materiales de microencapsulaci\u00f3n avanzados. En AINIA, <strong>estamos estudiando y evaluando nuevos materiales de recubrimiento avanzados para la microencapsulaci\u00f3n de compuestos sensibles aplicables a la industria cosm\u00e9tica<\/strong>. Te lo contamos.\n\nLa industria cosm\u00e9tica es un sector que est\u00e1 en continuo desarrollo, innovando para ofrecer productos con propiedades avanzadas a los consumidores. Actualmente, existe una tendencia y una gran demanda de productos naturales, cuyas formulaciones est\u00e9n formadas, principalmente, por ingredientes de origen natural. Adem\u00e1s, los <strong>consumidores reclaman productos cosm\u00e9ticos destinados al cuidado de la piel m\u00e1s efectivos<\/strong>, que permitan solucionar determinados problemas, como puede ser el envejecimiento, de forma m\u00e1s efectiva y r\u00e1pida. Estas circunstancias hacen que la industria cosm\u00e9tica reclame cada vez m\u00e1s productos e ingredientes con propiedades avanzadas.\n\nLos consumidores de productos cosm\u00e9ticos destinados al tratamiento de la piel buscan, en general, productos efectivos, que solucionen ciertos problemas d\u00e9rmicos mediante la aplicaci\u00f3n de la crema, sin la necesidad de someterse a cirug\u00edas ni tratamientos est\u00e9ticos de elevado coste. Es por ello, que se hace necesario ofrecer productos avanzados, con propiedades muy espec\u00edficas que solucionen dichos problemas.\n\nPara dar respuesta a estas necesidades, en AINIA, a trav\u00e9s del proyecto MAREA, <strong>estamos estudiando y evaluando nuevos materiales capaces de formar sistemas de liberaci\u00f3n controlada, a trav\u00e9s de procesos de microencapsulaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, de manera que la mol\u00e9cula terap\u00e9utica se dirija de forma exclusiva a las c\u00e9lulas diana de la piel y sea liberada en ese punto concreto.\n<h2><strong>Sistemas de liberaci\u00f3n dirigida para productos cosm\u00e9ticos<\/strong><\/h2>\nLa liberaci\u00f3n dirigida y controlada de mol\u00e9culas terap\u00e9uticas es un campo que se lleva estudiando desde hace d\u00e9cadas debido al gran inter\u00e9s que comenz\u00f3 suscitando en la industria farmac\u00e9utica y que, posteriormente, se traslad\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n a la industria cosm\u00e9tica y alimentaria. Este tipo de liberaci\u00f3n se define como un proceso de liberaci\u00f3n de una dosis espec\u00edfica terap\u00e9utica a un tejido u \u00f3rgano definido, no m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de un plazo predefinido, mediante el empleo de alguna f\u00f3rmula o dispositivo.\n\nPero estos sistemas de liberaci\u00f3n controlada presentan la limitaci\u00f3n, entre otras, de que pretenden liberar mol\u00e9culas activas que son muy sensibles y que por s\u00ed solas presentan una baja biodisponibilidad y farmacocin\u00e9tica. Una de las v\u00edas para superar esta limitaci\u00f3n es a trav\u00e9s de procesos de microencapsulaci\u00f3n.\n<h3><strong>Retos de la liberaci\u00f3n controlada para productos cosm\u00e9ticos a trav\u00e9s de la microencapsulaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n \t<li><strong>Biopol\u00edmeros compatibles con el cuerpo humano: <\/strong>Dado que la selecci\u00f3n del material de encapsulaci\u00f3n es un punto cr\u00edtico a la hora de dise\u00f1ar un proceso de microencapsulaci\u00f3n, que de lugar a un sistema de liberaci\u00f3n controlada de una mol\u00e9cula terap\u00e9utica, se hace necesario investigar la capacidad de determinados biopol\u00edmeros compatibles con el cuerpo humano para su empleo en sistemas de liberaci\u00f3n controlada. Estos biopol\u00edmeros presentan una afinidad especial por puntos concretos de liberaci\u00f3n en el organismo, as\u00ed como una elevada degradaci\u00f3n <em>in vivo<\/em> y terminan saliendo del cuerpo humano en forma de subproductos biocompatibles.<\/li>\n \t<li><strong>Transporte espec\u00edfico de las mol\u00e9culas encapsuladas hasta las c\u00e9lulas diana:<\/strong> Uno de los principales retos de la liberaci\u00f3n controlada o dirigida es el transporte espec\u00edfico de las mol\u00e9culas encapsuladas hasta las c\u00e9lulas diana. Para solventar esta limitaci\u00f3n, la superficie externa de los materiales de encapsulaci\u00f3n puede ser funcionalizada con biomol\u00e9culas capaces de interactuar espec\u00edficamente con receptores sobre expresados en las c\u00e9lulas de inter\u00e9s. Estas biomol\u00e9culas pueden estar dirigidas frente a diversas mol\u00e9culas de membrana, como son las mucinas o integrinas. Entre las distintas biomol\u00e9culas empleadas para la liberaci\u00f3n controlada de mol\u00e9culas, los p\u00e9ptidos son unos buenos candidatos por sus propiedades biol\u00f3gicas (biocompatibilidad, estabilidad y baja inmunogenicidad) y su facilidad de producci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Microc\u00e1psulas con propiedades avanzadas para el sector cosm\u00e9tico<\/strong><\/h2>\nEl proyecto MAREA, apoyado por el Instituto Valenciano de Competitividad Empresarial (IVACE) y fondos FEDER, tiene como principal objetivo estudiar y evaluar nuevos materiales de recubrimiento avanzados para su uso en procesos de microencapsulaci\u00f3n que permitan producir microc\u00e1psulas con nuevas propiedades como la liberaci\u00f3n dirigida a c\u00e9lulas diana de la piel. Estas <strong>microc\u00e1psulas ser\u00e1n de aplicaci\u00f3n en el sector cosm\u00e9tico, como ingrediente de las formulaciones cosm\u00e9ticas destinadas a uso d\u00e9rmico<\/strong>.\n\nEn este proyecto vamos a trabajar con dos tipos de materiales de encapsulaci\u00f3n avanzados que van a permitir conseguir sistemas de liberaci\u00f3n dirigida de mol\u00e9culas a las c\u00e9lulas diana:\n<ul>\n \t<li>materiales de base polim\u00e9rica con propiedades biodegradables y biocompatibles<\/li>\n \t<li>los exosomas. Estos, por su propia naturaleza, ya presentan cierta direccionalidad hacia las c\u00e9lulas diana y no precisan ser funcionalizados, al contrario que los materiales de base polim\u00e9rica que s\u00ed precisan de una funcionalizaci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nPor ello, con este proyecto pretendemos impulsar el estudio y desarrollo de biopol\u00edmeros funcionalizados con p\u00e9ptidos para la liberaci\u00f3n controlada de sustancias activas hacia las c\u00e9lulas diana de la piel para su empleo en el sector cosm\u00e9tico.\n<h2><strong>Ensayos de efectividad pre-cl\u00ednicos dirigidos a la industria cosm\u00e9tica<\/strong><\/h2>\nLa b\u00fasqueda de evidencias que permitan apoyar las reivindicaciones de efectividad cosm\u00e9tica han de formar parte integral del desarrollo del producto cosm\u00e9tico y no solo como apoyo a la comunicaci\u00f3n de la efectividad del producto, tal y como lo define la regulaci\u00f3n europea (Guideline for the Evaluation of the Efficacy of Cosmetic Productos de COLIPA, <em>The European Cosmetic and Perfumery Association<\/em>).\n\nDentro de los <strong>estudios pre-cl\u00ednicos se encuentran los estudios mediante modelos <em>in vitro<\/em> a trav\u00e9s de modelos celulares<\/strong>. La utilizaci\u00f3n de estos modelos celulares est\u00e1 adquiriendo una mayor importancia por los grandes avances que se producen en la compresi\u00f3n de los complejos procesos moleculares que regulan y controlan el devenir de las distintas c\u00e9lulas que forman parte de la piel, individualmente y dentro de los tejidos. Entre las m\u00faltiples ventajas que presentan, destacan <strong>la \u0093personalizaci\u00f3n\u0094 en funci\u00f3n del producto o la indicaci\u00f3n buscada, la duraci\u00f3n del ensayo y la variabilidad.<\/strong>\n\n<strong>Para poder estudiar y evaluar la efectividad de los sistemas de liberaci\u00f3n controlada desarrollados, se hace necesario realizar dise\u00f1os complejos de c\u00e9lulas ad hoc debido a que existe un inter\u00e9s creciente en conocer el mecanismo de acci\u00f3n de las mol\u00e9culas de inter\u00e9s en las c\u00e9lulas donde se aplican<\/strong>.
