Las empresas de alimentaci\u00f3n, conscientes de la importancia de su contribuci\u00f3n al medio ambiente, est\u00e1n trabajando desde diferentes \u00e1mbitos en la lucha contra el cambio clim\u00e1tico. En este sentido, la b\u00fasqueda de nuevos envases para alimentos y bebidas m\u00e1s sostenibles tiene un gran protagonismo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sin embargo, los materiales biodegradables que se utilizan actualmente en el envasado de alimentos, todav\u00eda no han alcanzado las propiedades de seguridad y durabilidad de los envases convencionales. El proyecto REFUCOAT, en el que participa AINIA, est\u00e1 trabajando en el desarrollo de nuevos <strong>envases biobasados<\/strong> que incorporen recubrimientos h\u00edbridos con propiedades <strong>barrera a gases,<\/strong> <strong>antioxidantes y antimicrobianas<\/strong>, para poder ser utilizados en films y bandejas para alimentos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En concreto, AINIA est\u00e1 investigando, junto a la empresa Manor Farm, en la incorporaci\u00f3n de <strong>sustancias antimicrobianas<\/strong>, incluidos<strong> bacteri\u00f3fagos<\/strong> para reducir o limitar la proliferaci\u00f3n de microorganismos (aumento de vida \u00fatil), as\u00ed como para prevenir la salmonella en el envasado de pollo (seguridad alimentaria).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los nuevos recubrimientos h\u00edbridos funcionales que se est\u00e1n desarrollando en el marco del proyecto REFUCOAT, podr\u00e1n sustituir a las opciones m\u00e1s convencionales que suponen un proceso de reciclaje complejo y costoso. Seg\u00fan <strong>Concha Bosch<\/strong>, del departamento de tecnolog\u00edas del envase de AINIA: <em>&#8220;las soluciones en las que estamos trabajando corresponden a las innovaciones m\u00e1s disruptivas para lograr la transferencia al sector e impulsar en la industria el avance de la econom\u00eda circular, pero sin renunciar a la funcionalidad del envase alimentario&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Con una duraci\u00f3n de cuatro a\u00f1os, el objetivo del proyecto REFUCOAT, es desarrollar diferentes <strong>envases totalmente reciclables y biodegradables<\/strong>, para su uso en alimentos como <strong>pollo, pan rallado <\/strong>y<strong> patatas fritas<\/strong>, que cumplan con las caracter\u00edsticas de seguridad necesarias para lo que: <em>\u0093Dependiendo del factor principal que afecte a la degradaci\u00f3n de cada alimento (humedad, ox\u00edgeno, proliferaci\u00f3n de microorganismos, etc.), las caracter\u00edsticas del envase y el proceso de desarrollo ser\u00e1n diferentes. Estos envases finales tendr\u00e1n propiedades mec\u00e1nicas, t\u00e9rmicas y barrera adecuadas, por lo que supondr\u00e1n una alternativa sostenible a los actuales envases barrera multicapa\u0094<\/em>, ha a\u00f1adido <strong>Concha Bosch<\/strong>.AINIA participa en el proyecto europeo Horizonte 2020 REFUCOAT, liderado por AIMPLAS, junto con MIPLAST, IRIS, MANOR, DACSA, GRUPO APEX, BIOPOLIS, TH\u00dcNEN, CIB-CSIC, EUFIC y Fraunhofer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Supone un avance interesante en envasado activo para mejorar las propiedades de nuevos envases biodegradables o reciclables procedentes de fuentes renovables, que permitir\u00e1 reemplazar a los actuales envases barrera multicapa.
