These challenges and issues will be addressed by experts in the field at the<a href=\"https:\/\/formacion.ainia.es\/curso\/encuentro-nuevos-desafios-calidad-seguridad-alimentaria\/\"> <strong>\u201cI<\/strong> <strong>Food Quality and Safety Meeting: new challenges\u201d<\/strong><\/a><strong>,<\/strong> to be held on 11 May at AINIA. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This meeting will bring together experts and researchers from different technological areas, representatives of the competent public authorities, food safety managers from companies in the sector and providers of the latest technologies, who will address these topics through three round tables:<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"info-program\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Programme<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">9:30-9:40 <strong>Institutional opening<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">9:40-10:30<strong> Introduction<\/strong>. <em>More information coming soon.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">10:30-11:30 <strong>\u201cRound table 1: Prevention and control of new risks in the era of the circular economy\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Continuously adapting to the emergence of new risks is a necessity for the food sector. The effects of climate change and the adoption of new circular economy practices make this need even more urgent. This round table will address emerging risks, how to prevent and control them, and how to avoid becoming involved in new food safety crises, with experts from reputable companies and public authorities.   <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">11:30-12:00 <strong><em>Coffee break<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">12:00-13:00 <strong>\u201cRound table 2: The digital challenge of food safety\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Food safety control is based on data collection and analysis to obtain valuable information. The large amount of data available today enables new approaches to ensuring food safety with greater precision and in a more proactive way. Technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, photonic technologies and big data, among others, are changing the context of the food safety function within companies in areas such as emerging risk prediction, production process control and traceability.   <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">13:00-14:00 <strong>\u201cRound table 3: New challenges for Food Safety and solutions to address them\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Antimicrobial resistance, the introduction of alternative protein sources and the reintroduction of by-products into the value chain pose new challenges for food safety.
